Installing DataBlazer upgrades

Major upgrades to DataBlazer will be represented by a change in the first number (such as 1.0.0 to 2.0.0), and minor changes will be represented by a change in the second or third number (1.0.0 to 1.0.1 or 1.1.0). If you are unsure whether you have the latest version, right-click dbSetup32.exe or dbSetup64.exe in the File Explorer, select Properties, and then click the Details tab:

Compare that version to the version in Settings > Apps & features > datablazer:

To install a DataBlazer major upgrade, follow the same steps as in Installing DataBlazer on Windows.

To install a DataBlazer minor upgrade, run dbSetupXX.exe that you downloaded from the 1010data web site.

Note: When performing a minor upgrade, if you do not include the /fvomus switch with the msiexec.exe command, or double-click dbSetupXX.msi, the installer displays an error message stating that another version of the product is installed.
