--column-separator

Specifies the column separator, or delimiter, of the data to be uploaded.

Syntax

--column-separator=[SEPARATOR]

Description

The column delimiter of the data to be uploaded. The default column separator is a comma. Delimiters must be single-byte characters. If you're using a delimiter that is a special character in the shell you're working with, use " " to set off the delimiter.

For example, if your original table used the | delimiter, you would enter --column-separator="|". In Linux, you can also use \ as a delimiter.

If your delimiter is a tab, you would enter --column-separator=tab.

Note: --column-separator cannot be used in conjunction with --fixed-width.
