Install the 1010data Excel Add-in

You install the 1010data Excel Add-in for Windows using the Microsoft Windows installer.

The 1010data Excel Add-in is compatible with Excel 2010, 2013, and 2016 and runs on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows systems. The version of the 1010data Excel Add-in you install should match your version of Windows (for example, the 32-bit version of the 1010data Excel Add-in should be installed if you are running 32-bit Windows). Otherwise, the Excel Add-in displays an error.
Note: The 1010data Excel Add-in cannot be installed onto a network drive.

The current version of the 1010data Excel Add-in installer is 2.0.0.0 and uses MSI (Microsoft Windows Installer). You must have Microsoft Windows Installer version 4.0 or later in order to invoke the Excel Add-in installer.

To install the 1010data Excel Add-in:
  1. Determine the version of Windows you are using (64-bit or 32-bit).
    1. Click the Start button.
    2. Click Windows System.
    3. Click Control Panel.
    4. In the Control Panel, click System and Security.
    5. In the System and Security window, click System.
      The System window appears.

    6. Check the System Type.
  2. Download the appropriate version (32-bit or 64-bit) of the Excel Add-in 2.0 installation file (exceladdinSetupXX.exe) from this link.
    Note: If your organization uses the msi file format for software installations, download the .msi version of the installer.
    You will be prompted to either save or run the file.
  3. Click Save.
    Close your version of Excel before running the 1010data Excel Add-in installer.
  4. Double-click exceladdinSetupXX.exe (or exceladdinSetupXX.msi) to start the installation process.
    Note: Alternatively, you can run a command prompt and invoke the 64-bit or 32-bit installer.

    Invoking the exe file:

    exceladdinSetupXX.exe

    Invoking the msi file:

    msiexec.exe exceladdinSetupXX.msi

    For help with command-line installation, type exceladdinSetupXX.exe /? or msiexec.exe /? at the command prompt.

    The exceladdin - InstallShield Wizard appears:

  5. Click Next.
  6. Accept the license agreements for the various components of the software.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select whether you want a Complete or Custom installation. A Custom installation allows you to change your install location.
  9. Click Next, and if you are satisfied with your installation settings, click Install.
  10. Click Finish to exit the wizard.
  11. Restart Excel.
    You should see a menu titled 1010data under the Add-ins tab on the ribbon.
