R tabulation functions
The following section contains the 1010data-supplied functions that can be placed within a tabulation (<tabu>) in the Macro Language code.
- DistApply(using,fun,args)
  Run a function fun with the argument args on each segment in a sub-process and return a list of segment results.
- DistReduce(using,mapfun,args,reducefun)
  DistReduce() is only run on sub-processes and is a way to shrink the amount of data being passed to the accum.
- Tabulation function examples
  The following examples show how to implement various R applications within Macro Language code tabulation functions DistApply(), DistReduce(), MakeTable(), and Get().

R tabulation functions

The following section contains the 1010data-supplied functions that can be placed within a tabulation (<tabu>) in the Macro Language code.

Description

The supplementary 1010 functions in this section can be used with <code language_="r"> within a <tabu>. These functions have access to apply an R function on all segments of a table. As with other <code language_="r"> functionality, these functions may only be used in the cloud or other Linux environments.

The R functions DistApply and DistReduce are used to run code on sub-processes.
